Puffy Chicken Pies




Puffy Chicken Pie


Ingredients:
  • 2 cups chopped and cooked chicken
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp. basil leaves
  • 1 tsp. lemon rind
  • 2 tsp. mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • thawed puff pastry
  • 1 lightly beaten egg
Cooking Instructions:
  1. In a bowl mix well chicken, mustard, sour cream , basil, lemon rind, salt and pepper together.
  2. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  3. Line baking tray with non stick baking paper.
  4. Line 2 layers of pastry on the baking tray.
  5. Spoon the filling in the center of the pastry.
  6. Brush the inside edge of pastry with the slightly beaten egg.
  7. Place the remaining pastry on top of the filling.
  8. Press the edges to seal.
  9. Brush top part with beaten eggs.
  10. Bake for 25-3 minutes or until pastry is puffed and golden brown in color.
  11. Enjoy!
