Pichi Pichi

pichi pichi


This is really good for snack.

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups grated cassava or 1 pack frozen grated cassava
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • 5 drops of pandan essence
  • 2 tsp lye water (lihiya) or as substitute 1 tbsp baking soda to 1 cup of water
  • grated coconut for topping

Procedure:
  1. Mixed grated cassava, sugar, water and pandan essence.
  2. Add lye water while mixing.
  3. Pour into individual moulds.
  4. Steam until mixture becomes translucent.
  5. Once cooked, removed from moulds and roll in grated coconut and sugar.
